The Daily Post’s photo challenge for this week is the theme creepy. “Unsettling. Eerie. Disgusting.” I have a few eerie photos, but I’m not sure which is the creepiest.
So I’m going to let you, my readers, tell me which one you think fits the category best. Comment with the number of the photo you think is the creepiest. Click on them if you need to see them bigger.
Some are funny, some are serious, and some really make me think.
A normal household scene with a sinister twist–he’s looking at you!
A haunted moon–this picture needs no elaboration.
What lurks behind this door?
This photo is more serious. It’s not the possibility of lingering ghosts that scare us but the fact–brought to our attention by the graves staring at us from eye-level–that one day we will each be laid in a similar place. The clock in the top center relentlessly ticks, bringing that day closer one moment at a time. It’s a sobering thought.
This final image is intense. These skulls aren’t just Halloween masks–they are from precious people who were murdered during the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia during the 1970’s. “Creepy” here applies not just to the image, but to the utter hatred, selfishness, and carelessness lodged deep in men’s hearts that leads them to commit such brutal atrocities.
I’d go with no. 5, with no. 3 as a second choice
