In response to Cee’s Black & White Challenge for this week: Flowers.
I would write an accompanying poem on
The fleeting nature of flamboyance and
The quiet dignity of aged and weathered grace,
I would craft a phrase or two to note
That what remains of the cheerful, tender blossom,
Though brittle and brown,
Is the center of the whole thing–
But I’m a better photographer than poet,
So I’ll let the image speak.
